Q: How do you get the spare tire out of a 2000 Chevy Venture?
I have read that it's under the van at the rear, is this correct?
What steps do we take to remove it? Are there pulls or levers I need to know about?
Is it a doughnut sized tire? or is it a full spare?
If we get a full spare, will it fit in the same compartment?
Are there any special instructions to put the tire back in?

A: unless the tire has been removed before, its gonna be so rusted you're gonna have to cut it out. there's going to be a toolkit where the jack is. a long rod that fits in a circular hole below the liftgate. counterclockwise to lower, clockwise to raise.
Q: what is the location of the low coolant sensor on a 2000 chevy venture?
A: the low coolant sensor is on the passenger side radiator, just right by the battery. it looks like a sqaure sensor with a two wire plug in. if you can take out your passsenger headlamp assembly you can get to it easier. hope this helps

A: Sounds like the indicator inside your gas tank, which is on a floater, is malfunctioning. Have someone knowledgeable look at it, since it's not an easy task getting to the tank.
ETA: The other answers are better than mine. LOL! This is what was wrong with ours when that happened.

The switches (driver side) are identical they look alike but I don't know if the venture 2000 switch works for venture 98. I think I need an auto electrician who can help ?
A: Within the 2 years there shouldn't be a difference. You should be able to use them without a problem.

A: you need a machine that costs several thousand dollars and somebody (like me) to use it for five minutes to charge you 80-100 $ to look at a computer screen and tell you what it says....O.B.D. OnBoardDiagnostics. if ur lucky they'll get it right the first time because in most cases electronics are not returnable

Q: how to change brake pads on 2000 chevy venture?
A: You need to jack up the car and remove the wheel, make sure you use good jack stands to support the weight of the van. Next use a c-clamp from the outside pad to the back of the caliper and compress the caliper.Then remove the lower caliper bolt and swing the caliper upwards away from the rotor. replace the pads and reinsert the caliper and bolt. Make sure before moving the car you pump the brake pedal until firm. Then you need to Burnish the new braking surface after the brake pads have been replaced.
Burnish the new braking surface by making 20 stops from 30 mph. Use medium to firm pressure on the brake pedal. Do not overheat the brakes.
Q: my ABS light on 2000 Chevy Venture Van came on?
What does this mean? I lost the owners manual and never had a car with ABS before. Help me out a bit if you can please?
A: ABS sensors are magnets that read a slotted dish on the wheel. if they get dirty and cant read they will turn on the ABS lite. most times this will not affect your cars brakes, but it is something that needs to be checked, unless you fell lucky, well do ya?

A: does the motor work & your just not getting air back there?
there is a cable that runs from the fan switch(behind bezel) check to make sure that is correct, sometimes when you take off that faceplate the knobs move more freely, you may just find out it does work at this time & you will need to make an adjustment.
