A: The tire size depending on specific model will be either P215/70R15 97S or P225/60R16 97S. There is no reason to change tire sizes nor is there any practical way to do so without changing wheels. Either is far more than adequate for the vehicle

It is a manually adjusted seat and it is both connectors that are disconnected. Wondering what this is for....thank you
A: are your seats manual or electric? it's possible that the connector controls the pitch and other adjustments for that seat....however if you have manual seat adjustments then i got no clue whatsoever

Its a 6 cylinder.
A: Ventures are all 6 cyl., no 4cyl. Middle plug of head at the firewall. Right head second plug back. You can't see anything in the van.

A: No...
Terrible.
Generally all Chevies are bad in snow.
No diff locks, bad limited diffs and primitive electronics.
Toyotas are best.

I have had so much trouble with this for ever ..some small some not so small but they keep coming..
A: I personally havent owned a venture. BUt someone I work with does and he said it has been the worst vehicle he has ever owned. He bought it brand new and has had more problems with that one vehicle than he has had with his last 3 together. The most expensive one was the intake gasket. It is a known problem by GM and depending on the year and engine code do some digging around they will pay to have that problem fixed. I saw the letter but cant remember which year or which engine code. So if you have to or already did have the intake gasket replaced do some digging around to see if your car qualifies. http://www.autosafety.org/uploads/SB-10001282-8175.pdf . Q: Can I tow with a Chevy Venture?
I am looking for information as related to towing a travel trailer that weighs 2100 lbs. On the Chevy Venture GVWR is listed as 5357 lbs and GaWR is listed as 2755 lbs. There is no listed GVWC. I am so confused at this point. I also was told that 99 Venture has a unibody and receiver hitch cannot be mounted to unibody but I see them in parking lots?Any help ???? Do I have a unibody, can the venture tow the trailer???

Q: Why is my 98 chevy venture is overheating while stopped?
While I am driving it stays cool and the temp gage goes up when I am at a stop light. The gage goes down if I turn a corner. The fluids are full I keep checking them. After driving and the gage going up when I turn off the car the gage reads hot but the radiator cap is cool to the touch but the hoses are hot. Sometimes the low coolant light comes on. What could be the problem?
A: Sound like you have a leak somewhere, possibly intake gasket. I'd get it to a shop today and have it pressure tested before you do severe engine damage.
Q: I have a 02 chevy venture van and I was wondering if there is any other coolant you can use other then dexcool?
While replacing my thermostat and filling my radiator with dexcool the temp gauge seem to be running worse. SO after some research I have found that the Dexcool has been known to cause several problems in these GM vehicles. Is it ok to use the 50/50 mix in these cars?
A: Did you bleed the air from the cooling system at both bleeder valves after replacing the thermostat? If not, then you most likely have an air pocket trapped in the cooling system causing the temperature in the engine to be too high which will cause the gauge to read high. The system MUST be bled of air after being opened.
Also, unless the ENTIRE cooling system is COMPLETELY flushed of Dex cool, you will encounter many problems mixing the Glycol coolant with the residual Dex cool left in the system. Not a recommended action.
Q: For a 1998 Chevy Venture van are the cooling fans suppose to spin when u start it or just when it overheats?
A: The cooling fans usually come on at a certain temperature. It starts at a slow speed and if the temperature exceeds it turns on the high speed fans. Usually if the fans are coming on when you start the car, you may want to check the temperature sensor and make sure it is not unplugged.
Q: How can I know if my Chevy Venture 99 use remote wireless control?
I bought the van and I only got a simple key, but the van has all powered and automatic.
A: you can take the vin number off the car,and call a dealer ,and they can run it for you,and it should come back with enough info to tell you if it came with remote door locks and stuff,only a dealer can do this though,good luck with it,hope this helps.
Q: How can I purge radiator in a chevy venture 2003?
I have been looking for a valve at the bottom of the radiator but did not find it, I would like to change anti coolant liquid I will appreciate your help.
A: if there is no valve at the bottom of the radiator, then you can always remove the lower radiator hose. This can be a little messy, but works well. After the antifreeze is out, reinstall the hose. When filling with the new antifreeze mix, make sure to let the coolant system "burp" out any air bubbles. This is done by running with the cap off of the radiator, once the thermostat opens, you will see the fluid level drop a lot. Top it off, put on the cap, run for another five minutes, shut off vehicle, and check fluid level again once it has cooled off.

I'm trying to fix a problem with the radio and I can't figure out how to unhook the cables from the back of the unit. (CHEVY VENTURE 00')
