Q: How do I find what my vehicle has installed using the Vehicle Identification Number?
I know it was possible to use the vin to determine engine, trans, etc in old vehicle motor manuals (the vehicle is a 2008 Chevy Uplander.
A: ANy Chev or GM dealer can run the VIN, and give you a copy of the build sheet, also being a 2008 they might have the window sticker, and it should be on your contract if bought new.
Q: Chevy Uplanders???
Does anyone have a 2008 Chevy Uplander or know anything about them???
A: Its really weired when the poster above knows more than the factory does. The uplander is a great van and safe to drive. The uplander started production in 2005 and has gotten better each year. Please check this link for all the specs on the uplander.Best of luck.PS ive heard nothing about the factory stopping production on the uplander.T.http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/default.aspx?make=Chevrolet&model=Uplander&state=new
Q: Will my 2008 Chevy Uplander Be ok in Germany?
Hey ya'll
So my husband and I are PCS'ing to Germany in a few and The question arose over dinner...OMG is our Car to big to take to Germany. I heard the not being able to clear parking garages and the narrow streets..and He claims..maybe it will be a little hard to manuever and maybe we won't be able to park in Garages and stuff but it will be fine. Its our only car and we just bought it 2 months ago. I can't leave it behind..We thought If it really doesn't work there. Than will just buy a crappy little car and have our car there anyway.. Im petrified I can't drive my brand new car at this duty station..it stresses me out! he tells me to stop freaking out CAN YOU GUYS SHED LIGHT ON THIS..I know theres SUV's there...I just want to know if it will work.. This is not my car...but practically exactly like it http://photos4.ebizautos.com/used-2008-chevrolet-uplander-ls-7237-3257120-1-400.jpg
Ok adding a little detail. a few people...are assuming I'm traveling there for a vacation or something..don't I wish..haha..I'm living there for 3 whole years k guys...I have no family to house my car and take care of it and tend to it ...so that is why I'm taking it with I was just making sure it wasn't to big..for over..there and if it will be ok if I take it...and alot of responses were commenting on how expensive gas is...We are military..and we will be paying Military (AAFES) gas prices..nothing like on the economy..I'd walk if that were the case haha..thank you a bunch for your help guys =]
A: You should be able to drive your Uplander in most places there...however, some of their roads over there are more narrow than here, it is an older country, and its roads, many of them, are actually horse and buggy roads from the 1800's which have been made into roads. People over there tend to drive smaller cars than here in the US. But you should be able to drive most places..just know how long, and height your van is. Most restricted bridges, or tunnels, like here, will bwe marked with a warning, about vehicle size.
Q: do the new 2008 dodge grand caravan or 2008 chevy uplander have avalible all-wheel-deive?
are there any more minivans that might have it
drive
A: GM no longer makes a minivan. Neither does Ford. The Caravan and Town and Country do not have avail AWD for the 2008. If you must have it, I guess you buy an import(and that sucks) But with our Stow and Go seating and storage system, the AWD transaxle would not fit. The cars do have an electronic stability program that includes an advanced all speed traction control system. Check it out before you jump into a rice burner, please.
Sorry.
