my dad says hes gointo buy me a new car. 2003 chevy uplander. but i cant find any pics of it on the internet. is there a such car ad please provide me with a pic

A: You probably can't find one because they didn't start making them until 2005. A pic is attached. It is your basic minivan. It can be your party bus, I suppose.

Q: How many miles per gallon does a Chevy Uplander get?

A: It is kind of good for a van gets like 21mpg in the city and 25 on the highway, but don't quote me

Q: Chevy Uplander--Owner's Manual Info Available? Do you know how to....?
I'm renting a Chevy Uplander for Thanksgiving and it does not appear to have an owner's manual. Although I wish I were fluent in Spanish, I'm not. How can I change the information to English? For that matter, if I change to English, will I see information in miles instead of kilometres? If there's a manual online, that's great. But if not, any info is appreciated.

A: Free digital owners manuals can be downloaded from this GM site: https://www.mygmlink.com/main/US/en/gm/home?cmp=gmcomhp

Q: I drive a chevy uplander, in my job, just looking for opinions on it, quality, price, gas mileage, safety?

A: Well uplander is definatly safer than the old venture and lumina APV.But Its just a little bit worse on gas. Personally I feel its reasonably priced.

Q: I heard the Chevy Uplander had trouble with blown head gaskets and transmission problems. True or False?

A: probably. it is american after all.

Q: i am concerned about the safety of the chevy uplander. Anyone have any experiences?
also, how is the van itself? i have heard poor reviews, but i wanna hear it from owners and test drivers. thanks

A: i test drove one for a customer who was thinking about buying one,i didn't think it drove good at all.to me if felt top heavy, and when you cornered with it it felt too stiff, i was able to talk them out of buying it,and the bought a new suburban in place of it,but it just didn't drive like they said it was going to,the one i drove was a demo, and the air stopped working on it in the middle of a test drive, not a good sign for a new vehicle ,but the best way for you to find out is drive one your self,no matter what anyone tells you ,if you drive it then you,ll be making your own mind up with it,good luck hope this helps.

Q: What's uglier? The Chevy Uplander or the Pontiac Aztec?
And GM wonders why their sales are down the terlit...I know the Asstec stopped production but the Uplander is a freakin' platypus on wheels. Geez! What the hell is wrong with these US car designers...ugly crap. Great website that calls out the 5 ugliest vehicles on the road today... http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=ugly_cars

A: That's like asking "What diarrhea is uglier? Elephant diarrhea, or rhino diarrhea?" To me, they're both so terribly ugly that it hurts. When I try to understand the thought process of the exterior designer, I can only draw one conclusion: They were TRYING to make the ugliest car that they possibly could.

Q: Anyone else having lots of problems with their Chevy Uplander?
I bought an new Chevy Uplander last November. Its in the shop every other month. First, it was the drive shaft (or whatever its called). Then, the automatic door hinge broke off and had to be replaced. Then, the HUB bearrings had to be completely replaced. Then the ABS system went crazy and had to get new wiring. Then the door flipped out again and had to be completely reprogrammed. Now, there's strange grinding sounds coming from the front end and I'm taking it in next week. Anyone else had this many problems? Makes me just want to take it back and get my money back. Mark: lol I've learned my lesson the hard way. Anil: Yes, its under warranty thank goodness. I completely understand that everything that has happened are just things that happen to every car, I just simply wondered if I'm the only one that has had this many things go wrong in such a short amount of time. carl: yes, my husband and I did our homework. At the time, everyone we spoke to highly recommended it. Websites we checked noted no major problems. It seemed like a great choice at first. You just live and you learn I guess. It was our first mini-van ever, so..... now we know.

A: Ahhh The Uplander. Sister vehicle to the Saturn Relay, and Pontiac Montana. Oh boy do you have a headache on your hands. For the most part, they are (and I hate to say this) horrible vehicles from a mechanical standpoint. Unfortunately, it will be near impossible to get your money back on it depending on how your state's lemon law works. For example here in Mass, it has to be the same component going bad 3 times in 1 year. You may have to either deal with the problems (thank god for the 3/36 warranty at least) or trade it in and take the loss if its financed. For the most part GM vehicles are good reliable cars. But every now and then they put out a stinker and this is it. Hence the reason it is being discontinued this year after only a 4 year run.

Q: I can't hear sound from my dvd in my speaker in my chevy uplander?

A: I suggest that U either toggle with the settings or go to the dealer area in which U bought it an have them fix it. The manual is go too.

Q: Is Chevy Uplander a good minivan? Any recommendations?

A: The Uplander was the result of leftover sheet metal and spare plastic parts at the factory. Then they coupled it to a gas guzzling V6 what is linked with only a 4 speed transmission. If you would like a nice minivan, go with the Toyota Sienna, or the Honda Odyssey. No matter what you need, these two will have it. Safety, reliability, good gas mileage, style and aerodynamics, performance(the most that a minivan could offer), an AWD option, and the highest resale value. The Uplander has none of these. Makes you wonder why GM gave up the minivan segment.

Q: I have Chevy uplander. starter remotes wont work any more even with battery replacement. what can i do??
i opened the remotes and touched the part where the key is suppose to press and it works some times even with allot of distance. is there anything "I" can do to fix it

A: Get new remotes.

Q: Chevy Uplander mini van or wagon?
ok i know there is a question posted like this.. but my uplander title says its a wagon.. i personally thought it was a van but the title contradicts that.. so.. van or wagon? and why?

A: It is a van, dont know why it would say wagon, maybe your state groups vans under that description. Wagons are typically four door sedans with cargo areas integrated into the cabin, sometimes with rear facing seats. Vans are (taller) vehicles with four doors (typically sliding) with three rows of front facing seats, accesible through the rear doors, as opposed to the back hatch as in a wagon.

Q: is the chevy uplander a van or wagon?

A: mini-van... replaced the venture mini-van in '05.. GM made both models in '05. It's almost the same, just raised the front end and went to all 17" tires to make it look more like a SUV.

Q: record mp3 on cd to use in chevy uplander?

A: Just burn an audio CD from the MP3. iTunes can do this, Rhapsody can do this. Nero and Roxio CD burning software can do this. Just burn a CD from your mp3's and make sure that it is an "Audio CD." In other words, when you burn a CD with mp3 files, you can either choose to make an "MP3 Disc" which basically just copies the MP3's to the CD and that's it. That type of CD can only be played in CD players which know how to play mp3's. That is not real common in factory car stereos. Although it is fairly common in aftermarket car stereos. Another option when burning mp3's to disc, is to make an "Audio Disc." When you do this, before the software burns the mp3 to the disc in converts it to a format that almost all CD players know how to read. Instead of an mp3 file, it is converted to a cda file. The downside is that a cda file is much larger than an mp3. So where you may be able to fit 150 mp3's on a CD, you can only fit 10-15 cda's on a CD. But the upside is that it can be played in almost all CD players. I hope that helps.

Q: We just bought a 06 Chevy Uplander EXT LS. on the 2nd row seats there's 2 small gray plastic buttons w/a child
The buttons have a picture of a child in a carseat on it and they are located on the fabric of the back of the seat where your back would be if you are sitting in the seat/ just above where your waist would be. I thought maybe it has the built in carseat but the seat doesn't come apart anywhere, as the book indicated it would, to open a built in carseat for use. So, my question is WHAT ARE THESE BUTTONS?

A: The buttons let you know the seat has the LATCH system for installing a child seat. If you feel around between the seat and back cushion you should find 2 metal loops to connect newer style child seats. Also if you look on the back of the seat there should be a 3rd loop to connect the top of the child seat with a tether. Check your owners manual for more info.
