Q: How to change Transmission in a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer?
My friend asked me if i could change his transmission fluid and filter in his Trailblazer. I cannot find any diagrams or instructions anywhere online, and i usually can find what i need for my vehicles via the web. Thats why i need y'alls help. How involved is this process going to be and where can i find some D.I.Y info (eg. diagrams, step by step instructions, etc...). Thanks in advance for all your help!!!
A: you just need to pull off the pan on the bottom of the trans and let all the fluid dran out put the pan back on and re fill you dont need to replace any filter some just have a scene
Q: Where is the fuse box on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer? easy 10 points for a right answer.?
I blew a fuse and my speakers and some of my dashboard lights are out in my trailblazer. anyone know where the fuse box is located. thanks!
A: The UBEC (Underhood Bussed Electrical Center--also known as a fuse box) is under the hood, on the left front wheelwell. The fuse designation sticker is on the bottom of the UBEC cover lid.
The rear fuse block is under the left second row seat. Flip the seat bottom up and remove the outer cover. There is also an inner cover that has to be removed. The fuse designation sticker is on the inside of the outer cover.

A: check your high beams i had same problem with 04 impala i hit high beam with out knowing that night went to store no lights thought i had to spend major $$ but after flickering around found that 2 b the culprit good luck

What is the difference between a 2004 TrailBlazer EXT and the EXT North Face Edition? I have the N.F.E. and heard it's unique and was produced in small numbers.

Starting with a TrailBlazer LTZ or TrailBlazer EXT with the Leather Plus Package, Chevy adds or replaces various equipment. The exterior features lower accent-color body cladding, body-colored outside rear-view mirrors, running lamps, a liftgate luggage rack, headlamp washers, B-pillar badging and even a clothesline. Q: Why does my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer turn off at idle? ?
The throttle body was just cleaned. We got into a car accident front impact could that be causing the turn off at idle?, and the turning off at idle is very intermittent... took it to the shop and they said they couldn't find any computer codes to suggest anything wrong, they went ahead and cleaned the throttle body for me, and it is still acting up! Help... I am very scared to drive my trailblazer on the freeway because I am scared the engine will stall while I am driving? Any advice??? Could this be accident related?
A: It could be related but not for sure. It could be as easy as a dirty fuel filter or something more expensive like the idle air control valve, mass airflow sensor, or throttle position sensor. You mechanic should be able to help you out a little more than just cleaning the throttle body and calling it a day though. I wouldnt have any customers if I ran my shop like that.
Q: Poor fuel economy 2004 Chevy Trailblazer?
Was getting about 19 combined driving now about 15. I installed an aftermarket air filter setup that advertised an improvement. Have reinstalled the stock unit and still about the same. What gives?
No check engine lights are on. O2 sensors changed at 45000 (current mileage is 64000) There is a sensor at the air intake that I havent id'ed .. Could that be damaged from the installation of the aftermarket intake?
A: Check your MAF and 02 sensors, you might be running lean
Q: Code P0128 on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer?
I replaced the thermostat on my Trailblazer after a P0128 code. It fixed the problem for about a week. After spending 5 hours replacing that thing, I am now in the same situation. With one exception, all the other gauges are going crazy on me. My battery gauge is fluctuating, along with the temp and oil gauge. What should I do now? I am doing all this on my own and could really use some advise.
A: A code P0128 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Low engine coolant level
Leaking or stuck open thermostat
Faulty cooling fan (running too much)
Faulty coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
Faulty intake air temperature (IAT) sensor
Q: If I bought a battery in April 2007 for my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer, how long should it last?
The dealer gave me the part number (88900682 78-60) which I Googled and found to be ACDelco.
A: ACdelco is a stanard part for all GM products. so thats no big surprise. batteries will generally be tempermental after 2 yrs. after that(2yrs) dont be surprised if it takes a dump. so ur almost there. see if u have awarranty still covering it.(should be on the battery).
Q: What causes P0172 - Fuel Trim too Rich (Bank 1)[2004 Chevy Trailblazer]?
Need to know what bank 1 means.
A: Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a rich condition (too little oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1.
Code P0172 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
-The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled
-There could be a vacuum leak.
-There could be a fuel pressure or delivery problem
Some possible solutions are
-Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
-Clean the MAF sensor. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
-Inspect fuel lines for cracks, leaks, or pinches
Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail
Check the fuel injectors, they may be dirty. Use fuel injector cleaner or get them professionally cleaned/replaced.
-Check for an exhaust leak before the first oxygen sensor (this is unlikely to cause the problem, but it is possible)

Q: my 2004 chevy trailblazer LS V6 speedometer is going haywire. what can i do to have it fixed?
A: HI!
You have NO Cable to operate your Speedometer. it is all electronic ( and i do not mean digital ! ) The Speed Sensor could not be at fault for this type of Problem either!
I have seen this Many Many times in Chevy , Gmc Buick Pontiac Etc vehicles.
The Problem lies in the Speedometer Cluster. These Clusters made after 2000 have Stepper Motors to drive all the gauges. The Tachometer and Speedometer are the Most prone to failure as they are used the most!
It is best to have the Instrument Cluster Removed and Repaired or Replaced. A junkyard Replacement is ok but make sure you get a guarantee.
I pull at least one cluster a week and repair them for this same sort of problem!
I would charge $150 to repair the cluster plus shipping.

A: My fatehr has an 02' trailblazer and we've replaced those bulbs 4 times in the last 3 months.....I think something is short-circuiting....it may have some electrical problem.
