Q: Stability sys disabled 2006 Chevy Tahoe What could cause this?
I just got a Clifford Matrix 3.3 2-way remote start alarm on my 2006 chevy tahoe but ever since i got it back after i have been driving for like about a mile or two i get a message on the dash that says stability sys disabled. It never said that before what could it be? im taking it back to the install place but i want to get some feed back first in case they messed something up and try to say it was like that. What could be causing this error code?

A: It should not cause a problem unless they bumped the connector for the stable track control switch or blown a fuse. It may be a problem that just happened to occur at the same time as this. Have your dealer check it out.

Q: 2006 Chevy Tahoe or 2006 Chevy Suburban for my first high school car?
im getting a car for highschool and im a freshman. I dont know what car i want but now i want an 06' Suburban. My aunt has an 06 suburban which i like and my uncle has a 98 or so tahoe (bodystyle before the newer one) which is alright. i really like it and think thats what i will stick with because its big, powerfull, kinda sporty, and i just like it. my dad is our car mechanic and fixes and does all the matience hes an engineer for the navy but anywayss. he has an 01' Chevy Silverado 2500HD diesel and is always telling me american cars are junk but he said that tahoe and suburbans and their siblings are but than the average american suv because its made with a truck engine and on that frame so i dont think he will mind. but are they reliable? my grandpa just bought a white 06' suburban and hes said he will sell it to my dad for $15000 and it only has 34,000 miles on it which isn't bad. is this a good car? yeah i know its somewhat bad on gas but its gets 16-17 in the city and around 19-20 on the highway which i doubt it will ever go on the highway. but gas is really cheap i live in charleston, sc. and the lowest gas price is a dolar thirty six which is cheap i can fill the tahoe up with forty to fifty-five bucks. and my aunts has 132 thousand miles somewhere around there and it has never been in the shop or had any problems. but how much do you think insurance will be on this. but many ppl have told me that their parents said they drive the oldest vehicle. but our oldest vehicle is a 1996 Acura 3.5RL which probally has cheap insurance so than i could put it under my mom or dads name? oh and im not paying for any of this the car the gas or the insurance or matienece. my parents are but i do have job and probally will pay for gas like every couple weeks. and i have a's and b's in school and this is what they are rewarding me with. i do have my conditional liscene with a time waver because i have a job and im in the marching band sixth in SC WEST ASHLEY HIGH SCHOOL! so yeah i can drive till 12 at night. glad they have conditional so i wouldnt have to wait till i was 16 to get a restricted!

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: is it possible to put a radio from a 2007 vehicle into a 2006 vehicle?
I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500. I want to replace the factory radio for one that plays MP3's. I've checked the common stores and places and the selection for headsets are limited. I was curious, can I put a headset from a 2007 silverado/tahoe/yukon into my 2006 silverado? Will I need anything extra? any codes i'll need to have?

A: if it fits in the console, it will be fine

Q: how much should I pay for a oil change
I have a 2006 Chevy Tahoe

A: Depends on where you are but about $30 is right. It's gone up significantly lately with the cost of crude and extra charges. IMHO: If you're nice to your car and change the oil as per the mfg schedule, you will not need Mobil 1 -- unless you want to add to the profits of a company that last quarter made almost $1500/second.

Q: First High School Car/Truck/SUV?
hey everyone im just gonna tell you now thanks for all the opinions and help. Background Information: 15 Year Old Boy 3.75 GPA Marching Band Varsity Soccer Parents will pay for the car, gas, and insurance. Our price range is $16,000 dollars. well lets see ill be getting a car in a few weeks for my good grades and acheivements. but i just dont know which one to choose i just want them all! haha. some of my choices. CAR/COUPE: 2006 Honda Accord Sedan/Coupe V6 Automatic 2006 Ford Mustang GT Automatic SUV: 2005 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V8 2005 Nissan Pathfinder LE 2005 Toyota 4Runner Limited V6/V8 2006 Chevy Tahoe/Suburban The thing is i like a little something out of all of them. i really like the explorer but im concerned about reliability with these american made cars because my family has always bought foriegn until my dad got a brand new 2001 chevy silverado 2500HD Duramax and it now has 77,312 miles on it. and still runs like a charm. but what do you think of my choices. and i know suvs tend to roll over but my parents say we will also use this as our travel car if i get an SUV i also know they do guzzle gas so calm down. and i will have a job over the summer to pay for my gas but when all my activities and school start no more working till next summer. which one would you choose. thanks!

A: i would get the 2005 toyota 4runner limited the toyotas are very reliable being a teenager u want something that is safe and something you can haul friends in. the suburban/tahoe is way too big for a kid and the mustang and accord you would definatly want to get a manual and learn to drive a manual they are much more fun to drive.

Q: At what point can you take a new car back?
My husband just purchased a BRAND NEW 2007 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. Tomorrow will be the 3rd time it's been back in the shop. We just purchased the truck December 3 2006. First, the "tire maintenance" light was on and we couldn't get it to turn off. Second, the remote wouldn't work to start the truck or open any of the doors we had to use the key. NOW it's being taken back because of the problem with the remote AGAIN and we just noticed on our way back from vacation that a muffling noise is coming from somewhere inside the hood of the truck whenever my husband accelerates on the gas. We paid ALOT of money for this truck and I feel we got a lemon. What are our options? At what point do we tell the dealer that this is BS and we want a new car or our money back? At the price we paid, we shouldn't be having to deal with ANY of these problems, at least not for a LONG while. And the Chevy dealer had the guts to down our 2005 Ford F150 which gave us NO problems whatsoever???? Give me a break! Help!!! I'm in CA. Thank you for the answers. I got in touch with a friend of ours who recently had a similar problem and were REFUNDED 100% of their money for a Lemon Law vehicle. I think I can take it from here.

A: I can't give you the answers you are looking for because I don't know what state you are from. Here is a site that can help you .http://www.lemonlawamerica.com/

A: i would go with the hummer H3 or something like a toyota tundra or a toyota tacoma, there very strong and dependable trucks

Q: Falsifying auto title?
Long story made short... in 2006 a sibling and his long-time girlfriend purchased a 1999 Chevy Tahoe for $8,900.00 and a 1998 Adams Thoroughbred horse trailker for $3,000.00. I made the trip to Florida with the truck and horse trailer. His girlfriend had recently gotten into a accident and was allowed so much for the tax and title on a new vehicle. At the DMV $5,000.00 was put on the title as to avoid higher taxes on her part. I didn't argue this. I was given $3,000.00 before leaving Florida and we said that was for the horse trailer and the remaining money was due on the truck. I later found out that on March 31, 2007 they traded teh Tahoe in on a 2004 Expedition without paying me off- the dealership did pay $4000.00 but that lefta remaining balance of $2,700.00 They are saying that I can't sue them because the title says $5,000.00 and they have prrof that they paid $5,000.00 and if I push it I could get into trouble. How much trouble are we talking about?

A: Let the following become your mantra: NEVER, NEVER get involved in dealings that involve money with family members who don't have any. I have good news and bad. The bad first. If this deal had been done in Texas: The Application for Texas Certificate of Title that you signed as the Seller states: "WARNING: Transportation Code, ยง501.155, provides that falsifying information on title transfer documents is a third-degree felony offense punishable by not more than ten (10) years in prison or not more than one (1) year in a community correctional facility. In addition to imprisonment, a fine of up to $10,000 may also be imposed. The good: Not only did you sign that form but so did the Buyer--you didn't definitely say, but I'm guessing it was your brother and, maybe, his girlfriend. So it sounds like a draw to me because you both falsified information, so he is just as guilty and legally open to prosecution as you. That having been said, your dispute against your brother is a civil matter for which a civil court judge has no jurisdiction over the criminal aspect of your falsification of records, BUT you cannot present as WRITTEN evidence to a Court that you two contracted for a price for the truck and trailer--it's a he said/she said matter. The Court probably would not make a determination on an oral contract unless you have witnesses to the contract, but even then don't hold your breath--unless it was two priests that witnessed your oral contract. Steven H--you should be ashamed of yourself for giving a bogus answer just to get 2 points.

Q: Which car is more of a chick magnet?
A cherry red 2006 Dodge Charger R/T on 22" rims, or a black 2004 Chevy Tahoe LT on 24" rims? Both have tinted windows and leather seats with sub woofers of course!!! I just need help deciding on which one to get....they're both around the same price too!!! I'm 18 by the way....and I like BOTH of them, so now I am seeking other's opinion, not just basing my choice solely on their opinion....geez lol

A: those are both very sexy cars! I always like seein a guy in a pimp truck but in this case the charger is newer and sooo hot. guys still will always look hotter in a big truck/SUV !!!

Q: What should I do if i want a new truck but just bought a new car 8 months ago?
I bought a 2006 monte carlo LT about 8 months ago. I dont like the car anymore, i feel as i rushed into buying the car. I really like the 2007 chevy tahoe and avanlanche. When i bought the car i had my grandpa co-sign becasue i had not establish any credit and there were things on my credit that werent mine. I have then fixed my credit but still lack establishing good credit, for i only have my car credit on all three breuas. I pay 302.00 a month with a 12 percentage rate on the loan. Can you guys give me a tip????

A: You should have thought about the purchase before you made it. You state you "want" a new truck...not you "need" a new truck. I don't think you should give in to your whim again so soon . You are paying a high interest rate and have your grandpa tied up in your mess. Just keep paying on the car and when you can get a loan by yourself would be the time to consider getting a truck.

Q: Automatic Transmission Problem?
I have a 1995 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 with almost 108K miles. Not bad for a '95 I know, but I am not sure when the last time the transmission was looked at. I bought the truck used from a private seller in Dec. of 2006 and I have not had a SINGLE problem with it since the day I owned it. But after a trip from DC to LA and back and then again from DC to AZ, I noticed the truck to start reving extremely high when I hit about 20MPH and until about 23. The motor just sits and revs while still staying at that 20. I had a buddy tell me that it was the trans slipping and I just wanted to see if anyone else knew for sure that it is the problem. Also could you let me know the price of a New trans and a Rebuilt one? I really love this truck, and except for this Major problem, I will have this thing for a pretty good bit longer. I would prefer to get a New tran and just start fresh. Is that a good idea? Or could I have a used one and be set for a good while? Thank you for help. If you need anymore info just let me know! There is nothing wrong with the truck except for the tranny. It DID drive perfect long and short distances. I have only put around 8K miles on it since I had it in what... 3 years? I have changed the tranny fluid once since I owned it. I just happened about 3 weeks ago with the tranny problem. Most of the answers are good, but if I could rebuild a tranny, why would I waste the time to ask a simple question about it on Yahoo Answers? Just saying... I am going to add a bottle of tranny no -slip additive from Auto Zone and see what happens. Start cheap and then work my way up to the 2K $ deals. Thank you for you answers. Oh, one more thing, the odometer is correct basing it off of the CarFax report, plus the seller was a car sells man, who told me straight up what had happened to it since he had it and before then. There is also no way I would sell this thing. With the 6 inch suspension lift and 3 inch body lift and 40 tires, I would lose to much money in the process. It is my baby !

A: 1.sounds like your friends right. 2. a transmission is usually death of a car, just like if you needed a new engine. 3. cost $1500.00 rebuilt
