Q: Is a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, a good SUV?
My dad has graciously decided to give me his SUV since he's buying a new car. I am obviously not going to turn down a free car.
I've done some googling and have read a couple reviews, but was wondering if any of you have one and could tell me anything more about it...
I know gas will be easily twice what I pay now (Honda Accord) and the insurance will be higher because it's a V8. Anything else I should know?
A: I asked my husband - he knows more than me - he loves chevys and says its an alright car. He told me to tell you all cars are good, its all in how you take care of them. My grandmother had one (not sure of the year i think it was earlier than a 2005 though) she loved it! she was so mad at my grandfather when he made her trade it in on something else. My aunt had a tahoe too and she also loved it.
I do know this, my grandfather originally got it for my grandmother, because it was safe. If she was ever in an accident, she would be okay in. That was and is his only concern when getting my grandmother cars.

A: there is an onboard comp that calculates oil life . It not only uses mileage but includes idling in its calculation. Just press reset and it will go away until you start the car again. Once you get pass 100% you will not be able to remove the message until you reset it back to zero
Q: 2000-2005 chevy tahoe jack kit?
I bought a 2003 tahoe, not realizing it had the jack kit missing...does anyone know where to get one, the dealer ship is asking over $200 dollars, i don't want to spend that much money.

Q: How can I get out of my current truck purchase?
I have a 2005 chevy Tahoe right now and owe about $27 on it. I checked kelly blue book and they say it has a trade in value of about $22,500 and a private party sales value of about $25,000. I want to get rid of it and get something more economical, but don't know how I should go about doing this...should I just trade it in, or should I do something else...help!
A: well depending on you're payment, I would consider a lease...< honda has an Accord lease on an lx for 199 x 36 with $2100 down. I traded a Nissan Titan $4,000 upside down and had a street bike worth $2,500 so with nothing down and $1,500 negative equity , plus I moved up to a special edition, which has alloy's 6 disc changer and side air bags for 320 a month. At the end of my term I can start fresh without the evil negative equity! I sell cars and I could preach lease all day.l There are too many benefits. Q: gas mileage comparison: titan vs tahoe?
i am either going to be getting a 2002-2005 chevy tahoe..or a newer 04-07 titan..both somehow are similarily priced aside from the tahoe being years older.. both have V8 engines..does the gas mileage differ enough to pay more/less for one or the other?
A: They are both awful. Buy whichever one suits your needs better as one is a pickup and the other an SUV.
Q: Chevy Tahoe or Dodge Durango?
I am buying my first car in 12 years. I haven't applied for any credit in this time so my credit score is low based on not having much. This hinders my buying power. I would like a small car, but I have 5 kids and I need a car that can seat 7. I am getting a great deal on financing, ( over 15% lower than the other dealers) but it is a Saturn dealer and my choices in used cars has been narrowed down to a Dodge Durango and a Chevy Tahoe. They are both 2005. The Durango has 19,000 miles and the Chevy has 51,000. The Chevy is more expensive and has a smaller engine (The dodge has a Hemi). The Dodge seems like a better deal off the top, but the review are better for the Chevy. I am doing this on my own so I could really use some advice. I am trying to keep my payment below $400 a month and these may not be the only options, but so far they are the best. BTW I am getting either one of them about $4000 below blue book. (As listed for dealers and right on with private party sales)
A: I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Hemi in it. I bought it because I thought that it would be cool to have the Hemi, but honestly I can't tell that much of a difference. The Tahoe is a whole lot safer, too.

i have a 2005 Chevy Tahoe Z71 and i was thinking of putting dark headlight and taillight covers on it to give it a more sporty look to it but i dont know if they are legal ive been looking on the internet but cant find anything about it if someone could help me find the answer it would be well apreciated
A: as a police cadet i can tell you that it is illegal to have them on because you are modifying your car and if a cop see it and if they have nothing else to do they will pull you over for them but its up to you i know they look nice and fancy but is it really worth getting pulled over for them i will recommend you to search for factory made black lights those aren't illegal

A: Upgrade your DirecTV box to the HD PVR. We've got one and it's wicked! You can record and watch something different at the same time, or record two different shows at once and watch a show you had already recorded. It records in HD too and the hard drive is huge so you'd almost never run out of space. If you don't already have at least an HD receiver for your HDTV you need to upgrade your box and fully utilize your HDTV investment! What about a home theatre? You can use it towards a powered sub or a new home theatre receiver. Got Dolby Prologic? Sell it and upgrade to Dolby Digital / DTS 6.1! What about your computer? Running a little slow? Running out of hard drive space? How about a couple sticks of RAM or a 300Gb hard drive? There's all sorts of things you could buy or at least get a good discount off of using that gift card.
