Q: will a door from a 2002 cadillac escalade fit on a 2002 chevy tahoe drivers side front door?

A: It should because they are basically the same vehicle. The only thing is that the outside and inside probably won't match.

Q: What size is the gas tank for a 2002 Chevy Tahoe?

A: you can call the dealership parts department with the last 8 numbers of your v.i.n. numberand they can tell you in just a few seconds.

Q: how to remove ignition lock cylinder from a 2002 Tahoe?
I have a 2002 Chevy Tahoe that the ignition won't turn when the key is inserted. The steering wheel is NOT lock but the shift lever is.

A: I would try to lube it first too, especially if it's cold where you are, but only with a graphite-based product. If you do end up replacing the lock cylinder, I would definitely recommend you disable the airbag first. Not only are they expensive to replace when there shouldn't be any good reason for it going off, but it can be rather dangerous if it happens while you have your face right in front of it. Go here; http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm then enter your Year, Make, Model, and Engine. It's the first thing that comes up in the Chassis Electrical section. And although this repair guide doesn't cover removing the Ignition Lock Assembly, GM quit making them so you have to take off the Steering Wheel on most of their vehicles years ago.

Q: 2002 chevy tahoe with 98k miles what to do to avoid breakdown?

A: Constant service using top of the line name brand products for all your fluids, motor, trans., transfer case, both diffs., antifreeze, PS fluid, and brake fluid. Also clean or replace the air and fuel filters on a regular basis. I change the fuel filters at around 20000Km. Also you should use a good fuel injector cleaner that is added to a full tank of gas about every 3-4 months. Rotate tires and keep the air pressure up to spec, I like to ride on 40psi. These motors don't need tune-ups for about 100000Km. The only other thing that you can do is take it to a good mechanic once in awhile to have the truck inspected underneath for anything worn out or leaking. Good luck.

Q: 2002 Chevy Tahoe Rear Shocks?
I have a 2002 Chevy tahoe 4X4 with the tow package. I was looking to replace the rear shocks. I see ones on line w and w/o auto level. I'm not sure which ones I have. How do I tell? And if I have auto level can I switch to non auto level? Thanks!!

A: You can switch to non level if you so choose. If your truck is equipped with auto level ride, the shocks will look more like an air cushion than a conventional shock.

Q: I have a 2002 Chevy Tahoe and I can't get the back seat to fold down. Any ideas?
Chevy tahoe rear seat

A: See if anything is stuck in it, if you have kids they couldve kicked a toy down in the seat near the part that bends to let the seat down, other than that thats all i can think of, just feel around in the seats for foreign objects/ stuff that shouldnt be in there and make sure theres not some sort of lock or something that you mightve locked on accident :P although i doubt this helped much good luck :)

Q: My rear hvac unit in my 2002 chevy tahoe doesnt blow any air, does this mean that the blower motor is out?

A: check the fuse first

Q: My 2002 Chevy Tahoe won't start?
I think someone tried to break in to my 2002 Chevy Tahoe. The lock is all bent and it looks like someone tried to put something in their to open the door. Anyways, I believe the security alarm went off and disabled the car. Now, the remote won't open the door and the car won't start at all. We at first thought it might just be a dead battery, but if you put your key in, you would still hear a noise or something right? Well, it won't turn or anything. We tried taking the battery out and let it sit for 10 minutes to see if that would reset it or something. Does anyone have any idea if it is related to the security system and how do we get it fixed? Is it costly? Ah first of all it won't start so how can I drive it down the street? Second I am not being cheap. It is called I am broke and don't want to pay some mechanic to do something I can do at home. The door key lock is the only thing damaged. The ignition is fine. You can put your key in, but can't turn it. Also the remotes for the car won't work. I think the thief realized the car wasn't going to start so they gave up. The anti theft system kicked in and locked up the car, but how do I get it to work again?

A: It sounds like you've got a couple of problems here. If you think you have a battery problem, take the connections off and make sure they are clean first. Clean as nec. and tighten again. I would install a battery charger to see if it is just low on charge first or hook it to a running vehicle with booster cables to try to charge it. This should give you electrical power to get to the real problem of no start and see if your remotes start to work again. Try to get the key into the ignition and rotate the key/switch to see if the motor starts or the dash warning lights come on. If the key won't turn, the thieves have obviously bent or damaged the ignition cylinder. If that is the case, you won't be able to do this yourself as I used to do this and it is not an easy job plus you need special tools and training for it. The ignition cylinder and possibly the ignition switch will need to be replaced. This then will also require the anti-theft system to be reprogrammed. If the ignition turns, but the motor won't crank and the theft light stays on or blinks you have a password problem which is most likely the same problem as above, cylinder and switch replacement. There is no way around this; phone insurance as it is an attempted theft. This is a Passlock 2 anti-theft system which needs to be working properly for the motor to run. Having the battery unhooked for any problem after 1995 does not work for any attempt to clear any codes carried in on-board computers. To clear and diagnose these, you have to have a OBD2 scanner.

Q: how much would insurance for a 2002 chevy tahoe cost? ?
ok im 14 and im taking drivers ed this summer when im 14 1/2 to get my learners permit and for my car im getting a 2002 chevy tahoe or a 2004 Cadillac escalade and i was wondering how much the insurance would be for them? not the full coverage but the liability insurance and we're on state farm insurance and i live in a pretty low crime town in montana so my car probably wouldn't get stolen or broken into

A: Because you would be added to an existing policy with State Farm, and rates can vary dramatically from one company to the next, it would be best for you to get a quote directly from the State Farm agent that handles your family's current policy. You could also use the site at Progressive to see if you can get quotes, which will provide up to four different companies including State Farm, but it's unlikely the quote will match what your policy cost would actually be. Good luck.

Q: A 2002 Chevy Tahoe Wiring Diagram to intall a radio deck. Or tell me how to?

A: the12volt.com has everything

Q: I have a 2002 Chevy Z71 Tahoe with a 9 speaker Bose sound system. The radio has power but no sound. Whats up?
I belive the problem is with the amp but cannot find it. Any suggestions for trouble shooting and where the amp may be hidden? Thanks

A: First I am making the assumption that at one time it has worked because if you just bought the car and it has never worked the amp may be missing. The amplifier does have a separate fuse that you can find in the owners manual. The amp used to be under the rear seats but I am not 100% on the 2002. Hopefully you can find a blown fuse and you are back in business. Hope this helps.
