Q: where can i get a manual for a 1999 chevy suburban?

A: You might be able to find one on e-bay, otherwise the easiest way is to go to a Chevy dealer and order one if they don't have any in stock.

Q: 1999 Chevy Suburban?
Is buying a 1999 Suburban with 178,000 miles a practical option? The body and interior are in great shape, but is it too many miles?

A: I agree with Lost.Coz but there are some other things as well. The 1999 Suburban came with a 350 (5.7L) V8, which has been one of the best engines that GM came out with. They are very easy to maintain, most of the parts are cheap and they can be overhauled and worked on easier than most other SUV's. Even though it has 178,000 miles on it, as long as the maintenance has been kept up on and there are no active leaks and the fluids look ok, I would say go for it!

Q: Help with 1999 Chevy Suburban Vortec ?
I am replacing the intake manifold gasket on a 1999 Suburban and my dad took it apart for me and can't remember what is supposed to go in a hole on the drivers side of the upper intake manifold about half way down. It is about an inch and a half size hole that looks like something might slide in there and lock into place. I can't find anything in the parts he gave me that looks like it would go there. Any suggestions for what I might be looking for or where to find an online diagram? Thank you!!

A: I can't think of the name of it , but i can tell you that the pvc hose runs to it , if i remember right it you twist it in& out.

Q: where are the number 1 and 2 oxygen sensors for a 1999 chevy suburban located 2 wheel drive 5.7 liter?

A: The #1 sensor is between the engine and the cat converter. It assists the computer and is used to adjust air fuel ratio and such. The #2 sensor is between the cat converter and the tail pipe showing and is strictly emissions system only.

Q: 1999 chevy suburban 5.7l has trouble starting and idles fine but starves when you press the gas?
This problem started a month ago, was driving fine all of a sudden it was at about 40mph it started chugging. idled fine but anything over 1200rpms would start to starve it. Mechanic came out checked the computer and it said it was the egr valve. Took that off cleaned it then it ran good until 3days ago same thing as i was driving started running bad. One thing thats weird is if it sits for a certain amount of time it will run great, sometimes it wont even start? Im thinking the egr valve but why run good sometimes?? fuel pump is new and filter, computer reads everything fine? any possibities will help

A: A EGR valve will most defiantly to this. just because you have cleaned the carbon out from around the pindle doesn't make it better. its kinda like putting a banded over a gunshot wound! , the EGR valve on the 99' had an electric plunger which over time wears out and becomes week due to heat and extensive usage when you cleaned the carbon from under the old EGR valve you made the pindle easier to move. which would allow it to function properly since it was not Strong enough to operate with the carbon build up in it and good luck

Q: Where is the Fuse for the fuel pump on a 1999 Chevy Subruban?
1999 Chevy Suburban K1500 4x4 LT. On the Fuse panel on the side of the dash hidden by the driver door. Which fuse is for the fuel pump?

A: i'm not 100% sure on this but you can call your local chevy dealers service center to double check. the fuse box inside the vehicle is not the location of the fuse. there is a fuse box located under the hood on the drivers side and the fuse for the fuel pump is not always labeled as "fuel pump". you'll notice there are several ecm fuses (ecm-b, ecm-a, ecm-i). i don't recall exactly which ecm fuse it is, but its one of those.

Q: When changing my oxygen senors on my 1999 chevy suburban 2500 7.4 lt where is bank 1 sensor 2 located at?

A: Bank 1 is always the bank that cylinder number 1 is located. The sensors are identified from the direction of exhaust flow. On your Chevy, cylinder 1 is located driver's side front of engine. Sensor 2 is downstream of the catalytic converter and is also called the catalytic monitor sensor.

Q: Where is the camshaft position sensor located in a 1999 Chevy Suburban 1500 with a 5.7L 350?

A: the chevy 350 doesn't have a separate cam sensor. the camshaft signal is read through the distributor. the pcm adjusts timing from the reading of the distributor and the crankshaft sensor.the distributor also cannot be adjusted like the older distributors. it has to be set in a specific position and then set properly with a scan tool.

Q: My 1999 Chevy Suburban k1500 will not shift into reverse from park. Why? I press brake, and theirs no grind.
IM STRANDED!!!!!!!

A: It might be in four-wheel drive. Or the emergency brake is possibly on. Try shifting into neutral, then pushing it backwards if you are stranded. If the stick just won't budge, try pulling it back hard. But if nothing works then I have no clue.

Q: Where is the MAP sensor located on a 1999 Chevy Suburban 5.7 L?

A: To the rear of the throttle body on the same side as the alternator .

Q: my 1999 chevy suburban fuel pump keeps going out in a 8 hour time frame.?

A: Defect in the sending signal from the mass air flow sensor, you could have a bad alternator giving voltage spikes and it will knock out the or give a incorrect reading, there is a diagnostic special machine for reading voltage spikes and the dealer and some good shops have em but not many, fuel pump's don't just go out something is knocking them down and you need to get the correct diagnoses on this no guessing it could be anything related to the computer and down the line, under warranty ? if you have a extended warranty or what should check into this cause is getting probably expensive now ?

Q: 1999 Chevy Suburban needs inspection?
I replaced the battery just before the yearly inspection was due, so I have been driving the Suburban to allow the computer to reset. After about 150 miles (some Hwy, some city), my OBDII reads no computer errors, BUT when I first hook up the cable, I have two flashing codes and 6 non-flashing codes: Non-flashing: M, F, CC, C, O, and E Flashing: EV and OH I believe all of these should be solid, non-flashing Does this indicate that my car will fail inspection? Will these two flashing codes turn solid eventually? I live in North Carolina. Thank you in advance.

A: does autozone clear codes

Q: i just bought a 1999 chevy suburban . i need to find the tow ratings for this model, with a 5.7 motor.thanks.?

A: check the owners manual or call a dealer

Q: How many ping pong balls can you fit into a Chevy Suburban (1999 or newer)?
Need supporting material for your answer.

A: while the calculated amount is 19143, it is impossible to prove because the ping pong ball market has been turned upside down due to the recent explosion of beer pong festivities on college campuses.
