Q: 1994 Chevy suburban problems motor mount?
I have a 1994 Chevy suburban K1500 when on highway at 55 mile an hour it feels like the front shakes after getting to 60 mph it stops when idling it feels ruff but the idle meter is below 1 can this be a motor mount or something else if it is motor mount how can I tell it dies not worsen the faster I go it actually gets better when I hit 60 mph but if i loosen up on the gas pedal thats when it gets bad

A: A bad motor mount will not react differently at 55 mph versus 60 mph. Your symptoms indicate that you likely have a wheel or tire balance problem. You might want to have your tires checked, re-balanced, and then possibly rotated.

Q: 94 chevy suburban mods?
i have a 1994 chevy suburban k1500. i want some ideas on how to make it look badass. i dont want the suspension or body any lower than what it is stock. i need my ground clearance for off roading. but what are some kickass mods i can put on the body and interior to give it a super intimidating/evil look. anybody have some ideas for me? thanks!

A: well i would put better rims on for starters, then i would put a full cage brush guard on the front. then get chrome or tinted rear lights, i don't know if under glow is legal in your state but i would consider that as a option and a rack light. if you like the street look then you can go with a custom grill. interior wise think creative most people dot do this because it brings down car value. but you can paint your interior up a little. just make sure you buy interior paint. best of luck...

Is a 1994 Chevy Suburban a decent car for a first car for a 16 year old that gets his license in about a week?

A: You'll have to sell your entire family to slavery to pay for gas alone. Not to mention tow trucks and repairs. Some people prefer to learn the hard way, and if you are one of them - it's your chance.

Q: can I use a 94 suburban (4X4) transmission in a 96 Z-71 4X4?
I need a transmission for a truck that I just purchased. It didnt have a transmission, and I have a 1994 Chevy Surburban 4X4 transmission, and I was wondering if it would line up with my axle in my Z-71 4X4?

A: your local salvage yard has a book that will show everything as far as interchangeable ,, alot of Chevy's match , but alot of stuff don't , try askin there

Q: egr valve sticking with carbon?
i have cleaned the egr valve 10 times with cab & choke cleaner in the past two weeks... but it still sticks....a chevy garage told me a new egr valve would probable start sticking after awhile also.....i also found out they make gaskets with screens in them but, i can't one one to fit my 1994 k1500 4x4 5.7 chevy suburban......it drinks the gas when this is stuck open pieces of carbon keep holding it open they say a new egr valve will eventually start sticking ...... don't know what else to do

A: This is very common problem. The carbon build up cannot really be stopped unless you regularly add a fuel additive. The EGR gasket with the screen IS available for this engine and any NAPA store should be able to get it for you. Be sure to clean out the carbon real good when you have it apart and before putting in the new gasket. Just keep in mind that the screened gasket will eventually become blocked and needs to be replaced, so I suggest that you pick up a couple extra ones to have on hand. Good luck.

A: You can put just about any head unit in that truck. And, the Eclipse CD3414 is a good choice. You'll need a wiring harness adapter and a mounting kit to hook it up and make it look decent.
